LOCATION
The City of San
Carlos is located at the Northeast part of Negros Island, 123°23'65"
longitude and 10°25'15" latitude, bounded on the North by the Municipality
of Calatrava, on the West by the Municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto and
the City of Bago, on the South by Municipality of Vallehermoso (Negros
Oriental) and the City of Canla-on, and the East by Tañon Strait.

TOPOGRAPHY
The city has a total land area of 45,150.0000 hectares or
451.50 square kilometers. It consists of sloping to rolling lands raging
from 0-18 percent comprising about 18.77 percent of the total land area or
8,473.9300 hectares of land. The northern part of the City is dominantly
moderate to rolling slopes raging from 18-30 percent and comprising about
27.85 percent or 12,575.0000 hectares of land. There are also sleep areas
with slope distribution from 30-50 percent, which constitutes 20.82 percent
or 9,400.0000 hectares. The remaining 32.56 percent are slopes with
distribution of 50 percent.
