Became a Parish on 1895 & was constructed on 1891 during the term of Fr. Pedro Chivite, OAR. Present Bishop is Msgr. Jose Fuerte Advincula, DD. It became a Diocese on February 10, 1988 covering the Municipality of Manapla, Negros Occidental to La Libertad of Negros Oriental.
